Obama and Netanyahu to meet next week

From Dan Lothian, CNN White House Correspondent

Washington (CNN) -- U.S. President Barack Obama will meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu next Tuesday, according to a White House official.

White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, who was in Israel on a private trip, extended the invitation on Wednesday while meeting with Netanyahu in Jerusalem, the official added.

The two leaders, now set to meet at the White House, will likely discuss Middle East peace efforts, the official said.
