(CNN) -- A passenger was removed from a JetBlue flight headed to Florida on Saturday night due to security concerns, an airline spokeswoman said.

JetBlue Flight 21 was scheduled to leave John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York about 7 p.m. ET, spokeswoman Jenny Dervin said.

It was delayed for nearly three hours as passengers and baggage were re-screened.

Dervin said the passenger was not detained and was not in police custody.

The flight arrived in Tampa about 12:30 a.m. Sunday. No other information was immediately available.
