Put your questions to the Plastiki crew

(CNN) -- They've sailed over 3,500 nautical miles across the Pacific Ocean on a boat made from recycled plastic bottles.

Now the crew of the Plastiki are recharging their batteries, figuratively speaking, on the mid-Pacific island of Kiribati. They'll be setting off towards their ultimate destination of Sydney, Australia on May 4, but while they're ashore the crew will be answering your questions on their voyage.

Have you wondered what it would be like to sail across the ocean on a small catamaran? What are the challenges a crew face trying to sail with "clean technology"?

The crew, led by David de Rothschild, set off in mid-March from San Francisco, with the intention of spotlighting the increasing amount of non-biodegradable material on the planet.

Use the "Sound off" box at the bottom of this page for your questions. We'll put the best questions to the crew and carry their answers.
