(CNN) -- Lewis Hamilton remains top of the Formula One drivers' championship after finishing second behind Sebastian Vettel in the European Grand Prix.

Hamilton is ahead of his McLaren teammate Jenson Button and Red Bull's Vettel, who moved up to third after winning his second race of the season in Valencia on Sunday.

Red Bull's Mark Webber dropped to fourth after crashing out and Ferrari's Fernando Alonso slipped to fifth after finishing eighth.

Renault's Robert Kubica moved up to sixth after coming home in fifth.

McLaren also continue to lead the constructors' championship, by 30 points over Red Bull.
