(CNN) -- Barcelona have gone six points clear of Real Madrid at the top of the Spanish Primera Liga table after a comfortable 3-0 home victory over Deportivo La Coruna on Wednesday.
Barca took a 15th-minute lead when Xavi slid a clever pass through to Bojan, who provided the finish.
The second came midway through the second half when Pedro -- who continues to prove one of Barca's success stories this season -- further enhanced his reputation with a magnificent 45-yard looped effort after goalkeeper Daniel Aranzubia had mis-kicked straight into his path.
And Yaya Toure added a third just four minutes later when he fired home a shot into the bottom corner.
In the evening's other matches, Real Mallorca are up to fourth place despite being held to a 1-1 draw at Real Zaragoza.
Mallorca, who have won just twice away all season, but have a superb home record, took the lead when Ruben Gonzalez headed them in front after 12 minutes.
But the home side earned a share of the spoils when Humberto Suazo levelled just 10 minutes later.
Racing Santander improved their hopes of avoiding relegation with a 3-1 home win over Espanyol.
The win sees Racing move six points clear of the drop zone, while Espanyol are just one better off with six games left.
Meanwhile, Xerez continued their sensational recent improvement with a stunning 2-1 success at Atletico Madrid.
Despite the result, Xerez remain bottom of the table. However, they have collected 15 points from their last nine matches and are now just six points from safety.
