(CNN) -- South African Louis Oosthuizen finally secured his maiden European Tour title on Sunday with a three-stroke victory in the Andalucia Open in Malaga, Spain.

A week after blowing a similar final round lead to finish second in the Hassan II tournament in Morocco, the 27-year-old finally held his nerve to come home in a 72-hole total of 263 (-17) -- three shots clear of British duo Richard Finch and Peter Whiteford.

Oosterhuizen had been placed runner-up fourth times on the European Tour and this long-awaited victory ensured him a place in the Masters field for a second succesive year.
