(CNN) -- Police were called to the Clearwater, Florida, home of Hulk Hogan after a photographer apparently scuffled with a security guard while trying to obtain a picture of Hogan's wedding, authorities said.
Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, married girlfriend Jennifer McDaniel at his home Tuesday, according to his publicist.
About 5:30 p.m., an independent photographer "approached the rear of the residence in an effort to obtain any possible video or photographs of a wedding ceremony," according to Elizabeth Watts, public safety spokeswoman for the city of Clearwater.
The 35-year-old photographer, identified by Watts as Robert Martinez, was "confronted by a person ... acting as security," Watts said. "This encounter escalated to a physical confrontation (pushing and shoving) that was broken up by responding officers. Both parties agreed to stop and leave the area without incident."
After he left the scene, the photographer went to a police station and complained that no police report had been taken, Watts said.
An officer told him that one had been taken and provided him with the number, she said. The report is not yet public record, she said.
CNN's Brittany Kaplan and Rachel Wells contributed to this report.
