(CNN) -- Costa Rican police seized two guns from reality TV star Spencer Pratt at an airport as he was leaving for the United States, authorities said.

Pratt, known for his role on MTV's "The Hills," was not arrested or charged, according to a Costa Rican Tourism Police spokesman.

Two pistols -- a Colt .38 and a 9 mm Glock -- were found in Pratt's luggage as he passed through security at the Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport in Liberia, Costa Rica, police said.

A woman was with Pratt, but it was not immediately confirmed that it was his wife, Heidi Montag.

They were allowed to board their flight to the United States after the guns were seized, police said.

Pratt's publicist did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
