(CNN) -- Art and rock music are close relations, according to curators of an exhibition that presents paintings, collages and photographs by some of the world's best-known musicians.
"It's Not Only Rock'n'Roll, Baby!" tells the story of rock stars who have also expressed themselves in the visual arts, arguing that the two forms are inextricably linked.
The exhibition, which runs until 26 September at the Triennale Bovisa, Milan, includes work by Patti Smith, Pete Doherty and Antony and the Johnsons. Find out more about rock-star art by taking our quiz.
