(CNN) -- "American Pie" actor Chris Klein is expected to be arraigned Friday on drunk driving charges after his car was spotted weaving on a Los Angeles freeway last month.
Klein, 31, was arrested on June 16 after his vehicle was "observed weaving from the (No.) 3 lane into the (No.) 2 and (No.) 4 lane" on the Ventura Freeway in Sherman Oaks, California, a news release from the California Highway Patrol said at the time.
He failed a sobriety test, said Officer Francisco Villalobos.
Klein was charged with two misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence, authorities said.
He was released on his "own recognizance" without being required to post bail, the highway patrol said.
After his arrest, his representative said that Klein checked himself into rehab "to deal with his addiction."
"After recent events, Chris was forced to take a clear look at a problem he has been trying to deal with himself for years," representative Jaime Primak said on June 21. "He understands now that he can not beat this disease alone."
Klein is best known for his role as Chris "Oz" Ostreicher in 1999's "American Pie" and the 2001 sequel, "American Pie 2."
