Energy legislation meeting taken off White House schedule

From Kate Bolduan, CNN

Washington (CNN) -- A Wednesday afternoon lunch in which the president was to discuss proposed energy legislation with Democratic senators has been postponed, an administration source said.

The on-again, off-again meeting was scrubbed because of President Barack Obama's changing schedule and his expected remarks on the matter involving Gen. Stanley McChrystal, the source said.

The lunch initially was to be a bipartisan meeting, but was canceled, then rescheduled as a meeting with about half a dozen senators, but only Democratic ones, a source familiar with the schedule said.

The lunch had been scheduled for 1:10 p.m. at the White House, that source had said.
