(CNN) -- A deadly fire in Kuwait that roared through a wedding tent packed with women killed dozens of people and injured at least 76 others, state-run media reported.
Up to 41 bodies have been located in the debris, Maj. Gen. Jassem Al-Mansouri, a senior fire official, told the official Kuwait News Agency (KUNA). Rescue teams were still searching for casualties, he said.
Emergency workers transferred 76 people with various degrees of burns to several hospitals, Health Minister Hilal Al-Sayer told KUNA. At least 13 victims were sent to the Al-Babtain Center for Fire Burns.
