A court refused bail Friday for the 41-year-old man charged with the murder of two British soldiers at a base in Northern Ireland.

Larne Magistrates Court, about 15 miles north of Belfast, ordered that the man continue to be held in custody and appear via video link before Antrim Magistrates Court on April 21, the court said.

The man, who was not named in conformity with British law, was charged Thursday with two counts of murder, five counts of attempted murder and a single count of possession of a firearm and ammunition with intent to kill, police said. Read full article »
