Islamabad, Pakistan (CNN) -- Two people were killed and at least nine were injured in a chemical explosion in Peshawar on Saturday, police said.
The blast happened about 11:30 a.m. (1:30 a.m. ET) near a market in the Tehkal area, according to police official Sahibzada Anee.
Police said it was a chemical explosion and not a militant attack.
