Philippines landslide kills 26

(CNN) -- A landslide slammed into a village in southern Philippines on Monday, killing 26 people, emergency services personnel said.

At lease eight people were missing after the landslide in the township of Pantukan, in the province of Compostela Valley, according to Jojo Frasco, a member of the Philippines disaster coordinating council. Three people were hospitalized, Frasco said.
