ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (CNN) -- A suicide bomber in Pakistan rammed his vehicle into a security forces convoy on Saturday, killing at least 20 people and wounding 15 others, police said.
Farid Khan, deputy police superintendent in the Hangu District of North West Frontier Province, said the incident occurred near a security checkpoint.
Other security officials also confirmed the attack, which took place in the Hangu village of Doaba. At least military vehicles were damaged in the attack.
The initial numbers of dead range from 20 to 25, with soldiers, police and civilians counted among the fatalities. At least 11 military vehicles were damaged.
