TOKYO, Japan (CNN) -- Twelve crew members were missing after a fishing boat capsized off southern Japan, the Japanese coast guard said Tuesday.

Ten other crew members were rescued and taken to the hospital. All were reported in good health.

Fourteen patrol ships and three aircraft from the coast guard and self-defense forces were sent to search for the missing in rough seas off the city of Hirado in southern Japan. A special rescue team was on the way to join the search.

CNN's Yoko Wakatsuki contributed to this report.
