(CNN) -- Bayer Leverkusen opened a four-point lead at the top of the German Bundesliga after scoring three goals in the first 11 minutes on their way to a 4-0 demolition of Eintracht Frankfurt on Friday.
Leverkusen striker Stefan Kiessling celebrated his return to the Germany national squad by opening the scoring in the second minute after the visitors failed to deal with an Eren Derdiyok cross.
And, with the visitors still recovering from the early setback, defender Stefan Reinartz headed home four minutes later before teenager Toni Kroos rifled home a shot into the top right-hand corner in the 11th minute.
Midfielder Lars Bender, 20 came off the bench for Derdiyok in the 83rd minute and hit the fourth goal just three minutes later.
The result leaves unbeaten Leverkusen on 26 points, with second-placed Werder Bremen, who are on 22 points, playing Dortmund on Sunday and third-placed Hamburg, also on 22 points, at Hanover on the same day.
Fourth-placed Schalke have a chance to move into second if they can win at Bayern Munich's Allianz Arena on Saturday.
