(CNN) -- Inter Milan moved 10 points clear of Juventus in Serie A, ahead of their rivals' derby clash against Torino, with an impressive 2-0 victory at Genoa on Saturday.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored the opening goal as Inter cruised to a 2-0 victory at Genoa.
The defending champions got a perfect start when taking a second minute lead through Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The Swedish forward was played in by Dejan Stankovic, and he held off two challenges before chipping goalkeeper Rubinho.
Ibrahimovic's teenage strike partner Mario Balotelli added the decisive second goal in the 61st minute, although replays failed to prove conclusively that the ball had actually crossed the goal-line.
Meanwhile, 10-man Roma missed the chance to move into the top four as they were held to a 1-1 home draw by Udinese.
They are now level on 45 points with Genoa but one point behind fourth-placed Fiorentina, who host Palermo on Sunday.
Brazilian Felipe put Udinese ahead early in the second half when heading home an Antonio Di Natale cross. However, substitute Mirko Vucinic rescued a point for Roma on the hour mark with a right-foot strike on the hour mark.
Roma had to complete the game minus midfielder Daniele De Rossi, who was given his marching orders after arguing with the referee.
