(CNN) -- Inter Milan were held to a disappointing 1-1 draw at home to Torino on Sunday but still increased their lead at the top of Serie A after shock defeat for Juventus the night before.
Mourinho cuts an animated figure as his team struggled at home.
Jose Mourinho's men looked to extend their commanding advantage still further with Juve going down 3-2 to Cagliari in Turin and local rivals AC Milan playing later on Sunday.
But it was a day to forget for the defending champions who could not break through in a tepid first half.
The second half was just two minutes old when Rolando Bianchi headed struggling Torino ahead.
But Nicolas Burdisso leveled for the leaders with a 57th minute header to set up a frantic finish with Inter close to claiming the three points.
In other matches on Sunday, Genoa remained in fourth spot and on course for a Champions League place with a 1-0 home win over Palermo, Domenico Criscito scoring in the 88th minute.
Chile international midfielder Claudio Pizarro scored twice for AS Roma but they were held to a 2-2 draw by Reggina and remain three points behind Genoa in fifth.
