(CNN) -- Tim Petrovic and Leif Olson hold the first-round lead at the Turning Stone Resort Championship after the first round near New York.
Tim Petrovic carded a six-under-par 66 to share the lead after the opening round of the Turning Stone event.
American Petrovic, 43, last won on the PGA Tour back in 2005 when he took the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.
Petrovic showed he was in good form at the Atunyote Golf Club, Verona with a six-under-par round of 66 to lead by one stroke alongside Olson.
Fellow-American Olson, 28, has yet to win on the PGA Tour but turned in seven birdies and a single bogey in a round of 66.
Australian John Senden was tied in third with American pair Matt Kuchar and Vaughn Taylor after first rounds of 67.
Englishman Justin Rose was in a group of 11 players tied for 13th after a first round 69 -- alongside fellow-Europeans Fredrik Jacobson of Sweden and Scot Martin Laird.
Meanwhile, KJ Choi's 70 put him among a huge pack in 24th place.
American Eric Axley endured a dreadful round with a quadruple bogey eight on the 13th hole leaving him dead last on 11-over-par.
