(CNN) -- Investigators arrested a suspect Monday in the fatal shootings of four men in North Carolina a day earlier, authorities said.
Authorities captured Marcos Chavez Gonzalez in a motel room in Henry County, Virginia, said police in Mount Airy, North Carolina, where the shooting occurred.
Local and state authorities received information about his location at 2:30 a.m. ET, and arrested him without incident, police said in a statement. Henry County is about 40 miles northeast of Mount Airy.
Gonzalez was wanted in the shooting deaths of four men Sunday afternoon in the parking lot of a store that sells cable TV equipment in Mount Airy, about 50 miles north of Winston-Salem.
