JERUSALEM (CNN) -- Palestinian militants Wednesday fired a salvo of rockets from Gaza into southern Israel, with one landing in the parking lot of a supermarket in Sderot, the Israeli military said.
Two Israelis sustained minor injuries in that strike and were treated at a hospital, Israeli medical services said. There were no serious injuries. Sderot is a frequent target of rocket strikes because of its proximity to Hamas-controlled Gaza.
That rocket attack was one of 15 on Israel on Wednesday.
In response, the Israeli military carried out an airstrike in northern Gaza on a rocket-launching site that was about to fire more missiles, the Israel Defense Forces said.
Palestinian hospital sources said two Islamic Jihad militants were wounded in an airstrike in Gaza City.
