GAZA CITY (CNN) -- The Israeli military carried out an airstrike on a suspected militant rocket-launching squad east of Gaza City on Sunday, an Israel Defense Forces spokesman told CNN.
The airstrike killed three militants and injured another, according to Palestinian security sources.
Video from the scene showed medics loading the bodies of the suspected militants into an ambulance. The video also showed what appeared to be a small rocket launcher nearby.
The Israeli foreign affairs ministry said about 20 rockets were fired at the border towns of Negev and Ashkelon over the weekend.
Two additional rockets were fired from Gaza Sunday morning, the ministry said. It was not immediately clear if the rockets were launched from the same site where the military conducted their air strike.
The Israeli military carried out another airstrike on a suspected militant rocket-launching site in northern Gaza early Friday, an Israel Defense Forces spokesman said.
Five militants were wounded in that airstrike, Palestinian security forces said.
