BERLIN, Germany (CNN) -- German police said Friday they suspect arson caused an overnight fire at a house inhabited by three Turkish families in southern Germany.
No one was hurt in the fire, which happened in Aldingen, about 50 miles southwest of Stuttgart, police said.
The fire was started in three locations -- two outside the house and one inside, police spokesman Wolfgang Schuch told CNN.
A Turkish worker driving home discovered the fire around 1:20 a.m. Friday (0020 GMT) and immediately rang all doorbells to notify the residents, Schuch said. All 14 people living in the building then managed to escape, he said.
The flames spread quickly throughout the old building, which was destroyed, he said, adding it took fire crews two hours to put out the flames.
