ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (CNN) -- A suicide bomber detonated his explosives in the midst funeral procession in northwest Pakistan late Friday morning, killing at least seven people and injuring 30 more, police said.
The attack took place in Dera Ismail Khan District of in the North West Frontier Province, said Mohsin Shah, district coordination officer.
Gunshots immediately followed the blast, police said.
The bloodied bodies of the dead and the injured were shown on local television being rushed for medical care.
It was the second suicide bombing in as many days in the province.
A suicide bomber detonated explosives in a Bajaur Agency mosque during evening prayers on Thursday, killing seven people and wounding six others.
