Bus blasts kill two in China

BEIJING, China (CNN) -- Explosions on two public buses killed two people and wounded 14 Monday morning in Kunming, a city in southwest Yunnan province, authorities told CNN.

The blasts were deliberate acts, according to the public security bureau there.

After the blasts, police tightened security at points leading into and out of the city, authorities said. No arrests were immediately made.

The first explosion happened on the No. 54 bus around 7:05 a.m. (7:05 p.m. ET Sunday), killing one person and wounding 10 others, the security bureau said

About 65 minutes later, another explosion damaged a bus at a nearby intersection, killing another person and wounding four others, the bureau said. Video Watch the aftermath of the blasts »

It was not immediately clear what caused the blasts.
