The story

The official death toll from the May 12 earthquake in China stood at 69,181 as of Sunday, state media reported.

Another 374,171 people were injured and 18,522 are still missing after the 7.9-magnitude quake struck Sichuan Province and surrounding regions, according to Xinhua.

The number of missing has increased more than a thousand from a week ago when the government reported that 17,427 people had not been found. Read full article »
