(CNN) -- A bus crash in northern California killed at least five people and injured dozens more Sunday night, authorities told CNN. .
The wreck happened about 6:15 p.m. (9:15 p.m. ET) outside Williams, California, about 60 miles north of Sacramento, California, a California Highway Patrol official said.
The highway patrol said at least five people were killed, but few other details were available.
Emergency room officials at a Colusa County hospital said they were anticipating between 50-60 patients from the accident.

Joel Sander, a tow truck operator who was called to the scene, said the Greyhound bus appeared to have "flipped end over end." He described the aftermath as "a mass triage scene."
Calls to Greyhound were not immediately returned.
