(CNN) -- Juventus have signed Danish international midfielder Christian Poulsen from Spanish side Sevilla for $15.5 million, the Primera Liga club has announced.
Poulsen was a member of Sevilla's UEFA Cup winning squad of 2007.
The 28-year-old,Poulsen said: "My dream is to surprise the Italian public and show them that rather than being the unpolished player they perceive me as being that I am in fact technically very sound."
Poulsen was a member of Sevilla's UEFA Cup winning team in 2007.
Juventus coach Claudio Ranieri said: "I am delighted. With the arrival of Poulsen, we now have 99percent of the squad I want.
"All we are missing is a goalkeeper."
Ranieri is thought to be interested in signing Austrian international goalkeeper Alex Manninger from Serie A rivals Siena, to back up to Italian number one Gianluigi Buffon.
