(CNN) -- Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo has caused a storm of speculation about his future after revealing that he still wants to play in Spain at some stage.

Cristiano Ronaldo has said he will consider his Manchester United future after the Champions League final.
The 23-year-old Portugal winger has been linked with a move to Spanish champions Real Madrid for the past two seasons, and the rumor mill hotted up again on Friday about a potential $100 million-plus move to the Bernabeu following his latest comments.
"I am happy here, but let's see what happens after the Champions League final," Ronaldo told Spanish TV network Antena 3, mirroring similar comments he made to Sky Sports.
"I am feeling calm here. I'm happy but in the future I don't know. I know Real Madrid like how I play and I know that other teams in Spain like my game as well, so that's good.
"It is good to know that other clubs are interested in you. I have said millions of times that I would love to play in Spain."
Ronaldo's remarks will no doubt anger United boss Alex Ferguson ahead of next Wednesday's Champions League final against Chelsea in Moscow.
United are seeking to follow up the club's 1999 success in Europe's premier club tournament and defeat the team they edged into second place in the battle for the English Premier League title.
Ronaldo will be aiming to add to the 41 goals he has scored in all competitions so far this season, form which has seen him claim both major player awards in England.
Ronaldo, who last year extended his contract at Old Trafford until 2012, collected his Football Writers' Association player of the year award at a gala dinner in London on Thursday night.
He topped the poll of journalists ahead of Liverpool striker Fernando Torres and Portsmouth goalkeeper David James to win the award for the second year in a row.
"I am very happy to win this award. It is very important for me to win again, but most important is the collective awards (of the team)," Ronaldo said at the ceremony, reported the UK Press Association.
"I am still going to want to win more, to carry on like this, I will not stop because I have these two awards. Next season I will try to do my best again.
"I have improved every season and will try to improve next season. I am enjoying my football, and want to carry on."
