GAZA CITY (CNN) -- Hamas security sources said two simultaneous Israeli airstrikes on Saturday killed at least one person and wounded nine others near the Rafah Crossing in southern Gaza.

Palestinians inspect a car after an Israeli airstrike Saturday in Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.

The first hit a car, killing one and injuring three.

The second hit a food truck 200 meters away. Hospital sources say one person is dead and six were injured.

The Israel Defense Forces confirmed an aerial strike in southern Gaza earlier Saturday, saying it was targeting a truck full of explosives meant to be used soon against Israel.

An Islamic Jihad terrorist was also targeted, in the strike, which resulted in a string of secondary explosions, the IDF said. E-mail to a friend E-mail to a friend
