At least 12 people were killed and 35 wounded in attacks around Baghdad Monday morning, according to an official with the Iraqi Interior Ministry.

Two roadside bombs exploded minutes apart near a crowded bus station in central Baghdad at about 8:30 a.m. Monday, the official said. Four people, including one police officer, died, and 21 others were wounded, the official said.

Four people, including two police officers and two Iraqi soldiers, were killed when gunmen attacked an Iraqi police and army checkpoint in northeastern Baghdad's Sunni Adhamiya neighborhood at 5 a.m. Monday, the official said. Two police officers were wounded, he said. Read full article »
