In the final Art of Life of 2007 we explore rural residences and thriving country businesses in the UK.
We look specifically at how many private homes and estates have had to adapt in order to survive the challenges of the 20th century. We go to Chatsworth House in Derbyshire where the Cavendish family has turned their home into profitable business. Next, we visit the foothills of Ben Nevis in Scotland to see one of Europe's finest hotels, Inverlochy Castle. In Ireland we meet the Leslie Clan who have managed to preserve their castle for over 300 years.
