The answer is TRUE.
According to the Washington Post, slightly more than 122 million people showed up to vote in the 2004 Presidential Election, whereas about 136 million people, which is just over half the population, recycle. That being said, says the Sierra Club, that is not too much to celebrate as over the past three decades the amount of trash Americans have generated has risen by 87 percent.
