(CNN) -- Some Americans celebrate Memorial Day by welcoming the first sunburn of beach season; others opt to spend the long weekend in their favorite cities. If you're the kind of person who is drawn to the energy and romance of great cities, we want to hear your opinion in the 2007 America's Favorite Cities survey. Travel + Leisure, Headline News and CNN.com are conducting a survey to find out which American cities are your favorite (and least favorite) destinations -- and why. What city is the most fun for families to visit? Which one has the best cultural scene or nightlife? Which is best for shopping? For people-watching? For romance? For dining? Our last survey in 2004 revealed that travelers rate New York City the best city for family trips (even over Orlando), but that San Diego was the top place to visit in summer. If food's your motivation to leave home, our 2004 survey suggests you head to New Orleans or San Francisco. Shoppers, meanwhile, will be most satisfied in New York and Chicago. And travelers seeking enlightenment through art should get to Washington, D.C. -- rated highest in the country for museums. Take the America's Favorite Cities survey now and share your city views with the world. Chicago was rated second, behind New York, for shopping during the last survey. Quick Job Search |
