Will neuroscience ever explain "consciousness"?

As a student of psychology I see with great curiosity the advances in neurosciences, and how their combination with cognitive/computer science can cause great advances in human development. But like with all technologies, it depends on their uses or misuses. Let's all be alert to the depelopments.
