CARDIFF, Wales -- Nick Mallett and Eddie Jones have both said that they are not interested in the post of Waled coach, after the sacking of Gareth Jenkins after their early exit from the World Cup last weekend.

Mallett is being lined up to succeed Pierre Berbizier as Italy national coach.
Mallett, a former South African national coach, is ready to take charge of the Italian team as successor to Pierre Berbizier.
Jones, who has not ruled out a return to international coaching at some point, is engaged as a consultant to English club side Saracens
Mallett said: "I have gone quite far down the road in my negotiations with Italy and there will probably be an announcement on that front after the World Cup.
"There are just one or two things to be sorted out, but that is my preferred choice."
Jones, currently a technical adviser to South Africa coach Jake White at the World Cup, said: "I have not given the Wales position any thought.
"I have always said that I want to return to international coaching one day, but it has to be the right job at the right time." E-mail to a friend ![]()
