MARSEILLE, France -- France scrum-half Pierre Mignoni will miss the World Cup quarterfinal against New Zealand because of a thigh injury, the team announced on Monday.

Mignoni was hurt during the 64-7 win against Georgia on Sunday, pulling up midway through the first half as he chased the ball.
His place goes to Jean-Baptiste Elissalde, who is likely to start in Saturday's match in Cardiff.
Tight head prop Jannie Du Plessis has been added to South Africa's World Cup squad as a replacement for injured BJ Botha.
Du Plessis is expected to arrive in France on Wednesday or Thursday.
Botha suffered suspected knee ligament damage in Sunday's 64-15 win over the United States.
The Springboks play Fiji in the quarter-finals on Sunday, in Marseille.
Australia have added Morgan Turinui to their squad to play England. He will replace injured forward David Lyons, who broke a leg in the 37-6 Pool B win over Canada in Bordeaux.
