WASHINGTON (CNN) -- About 57,000 U.S. troops will be sent to Iraq in early 2007 to maintain the current force levels there, Pentagon officials said Friday. The Pentagon said the routine plan calls for 47,000 active-duty troops, plus 10,000 reserves, to rotate into Iraq early next year. The force levels in the country have been fluctuating between roughly 140,000 and 150,000.
