'Idol' fan princes argue over remoteSend Simon Cowell to the jungle, Prince Harry says
 Princes Charles, William and Harry have been interviewed together for the first time. YOUR E-MAIL ALERTSLONDON, England (CNN) -- Britain's young Princes William and Harry are fans of "American Pop Idol" and "Friends" and argue with their father Prince Charles over the TV remote control, they have revealed in an interview. Meanwhile dad is a fan of older fashioned stuff -- jazz and Canadian singer Leonard Cohen, he tells British TV presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly. The Prince of Wales joined his sons for the light-hearted ITV chat to mark the 30th anniversary of The Prince's Trust, the UK's Press Association reported. It is the first time all three princes have been interviewed together at length. McPartlin and Donnelly asked the three which TV shows they like watching. British Pop Idol presenter Ant asked according to PA if they watched either the British or American versions. Harry said pointing to William: "He won't admit to it but we did both watch it, especially the 'American Pop Idol.'" He described the audition out takes as "so good." The topic turned to I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, a jungle-base reality TV show presented by McPartlin and Donnelly, PA reported. Donnelly said: "But we are looking for contestants for the next series of I'm A Celebrity so if...?" Harry replied: "You can chuck Simon Cowell in there with his high waisted trousers." William said when asked about whether he watched the same comedy programs as his brother: "Yes, we tend to mostly. We like the same sort of things, although there is usually an argument over the remote control at home about who watches what -- that usually goes on for quite a while." Harry added: "Friends is always a safe bet." Among other surprises to come out of the ITV interview is that Prince William -- second in line to the British throne after his father -- is a dab hand at cooking. "I've done a bit at university when I had to feed my flatmates, which was quite hard work because a couple of them ate quite a lot," he says. Charles talked about his music tastes, revealing, according to PA: "I tell you who I also think is wonderful is a chap called Leonard Cohen, do you know him?" (Full story) Canadian poet and singer songwriter Cohen has been dubbed the "poet laureate of pessimism" and "godfather of gloom" for his emotionally heavy songs. The prince added: "He's remarkable... I mean the orchestration is fantastic and the words, the lyrics and everything, he's a remarkable man, and he has this incredibly sort of laid back gravelly voice, it's terrific stuff, I think. I enjoy the jazz and things." According to PA he joked, shaking his body to imaginary music: "These two, you see, play this stuff, and I'm sitting there going zzer, zzer, zzer, zzer, downstairs somewhere and the whole place is...", before waving his hands around. Donnelly remarked: "It's just like houses up and down the country -- 'turn that racket down'." William, 23, added: "Yes, exactly." Harry, 21, third in line to the throne, also talked about cooking. The prince recently attended a culinary course while in the Scottish city of Glasgow to see the work being done by the Prince's Trust, a charity set up by his father. Harry said: "It was quite good fun actually they were cooking Chinese food, he (pointing to his father) messed it all up, usual story, but no, it was a good day." Donnelly: "Did you do any cooking yourself?" Harry: "No, I put a guinea fowl in a frying pan that was about it, that was all I was allowed to do." Prince Charles added pointing at his eldest son: "William's a very good cook." William remarked: "What? No don't say that! What are you talking about?" Charles: said "I thought you did it at school?" William: "No I'm hopeless. I've done a bit at university, I had to feed my flatmates which was quite hard work because a couple of them ate quite a lot, but I was never very good at it, but it's a really important skill to master but I've got a long way to go yet before I get anywhere near." Among the flatmates who lived in William's student house was his girlfriend Kate Middleton. McPartlin then asked: "Harry you're not so good?" Harry quipped, pointing to Charles: "I'm better than him." The presenters congratulated Charles on the 30th birthday of the Prince's Trust. The prince said: "You're very kind -- thank you very much. I can't believe it is 30 years, do you know that?" Charles added: "It is rather worrying. And I'm still alive."
