The Ryanair flight from Paris to Dublin was diverted to Prestwick Airport, near Glasgow, after a note was passed to cabin crew claiming that there was a bomb on board, the airline said in a statement. The captain reported the warning to air traffic controllers who ordered him to divert to Prestwick. The airport was closed for a time, and other flights were diverted. Strathclyde Police said the airport had later reopened and all 167 passengers have been taken off the plane. A spokesman added: "All are safe and well and are being interviewed by Strathclyde Police." The plane involved -- flight FR25 -- was en route from Beauvais to Dublin. The plane was escorted by two Royal Air Force jets.
