RELATEDLONDON, England -- Paris Hilton, rarely shy of publicity, has managed to steal the spotlight at London Fashion Week with a glittering display of gems. The hotel heiress took to the catwalk on Tuesday night wearing diamonds worth more than $3.5 million. Hilton -- who first gained notoriety in a sexually explicit video with a former boyfriend that was posted in the Internet -- made a slightly less revealing appearance at the annual fashion event. She opened the show of Julien MacDonald's collection in a black and white diamond heart necklace which she wore with a full-skirted, strapless satin ensemble. The 24-year-old part-time model later brought proceedings to a close clad in a glittery dress and adorned with stud earrings closely packed with clusters of diamonds. The necklace and earrings were designed by exclusive Swiss jeweler de Grisogono. Hilton, whose father is worth about $260 million, is estimated to have made almost $7 million last year in personal appearances alone. She also has her own range of fashion accessories and recently published her autobiography. In addition, she starred in a reality TV program, "The Simple Life," along with her friend Nicole Richie, daughter of singer Lionel Richie. Asked by The Guardian newspaper about her future plans, Hilton replied: "Oh, like, you know, I've got some movies, some albums, working on my clothes line."
