Powerful presence at annual gathering

(CNN) -- More than 2,300 people are attending the 2006 World Economic Forum in Davos this week.

They are drawn from various fields, including business, politics, non-government organizations, aid groups, labor organizations, culture and sports. About 15 percent of those attending Davos are media representatives.
