KABUL, Afghanistan (CNN) -- A bombing Monday targeted the funeral of an Afghan provincial governor who was assassinated a day earlier by a suicide bomber, the Afghan Interior Ministry told CNN. No details about the funeral attack were immediately available. Police and witnesses told the Associated Press the attack was carried out by a suicide bomber and there were casualties. Abdul Hakim Taniwal -- governor of the eastern Paktia province -- was killed Sunday along with his bodyguard and nephew as they left his office in Paktia's provincial capital of Gardez.
