(CNN) -- This is a selection of recent comments from CNN.com readers. If you have something to say about CNN.com, please e-mail us. Your story on Rep. Foley implies that both Studds and Crane were Democrats. In fact, Rep. Crane was a Republican. "Barton was referring to Democratic Reps. Gerry Studds of Massachusetts and Dan Crane of Illinois, both of whom were censured after having sexual relationships with 17-year-old pages. Crane lost his re-election bid, while Studds survived the scandal." [GOP prods Democrats over Foley scandal, October 6] CNN.com: Thank you, Michael. You're right, former Rep. Crane is indeed a Republican. We've fixed that in the story. This article [Aide: Congressman learned of Foley e-mail in 2000, October 10] refers to Foley's "admission" that he is gay. That is a very loaded word that implies that telling the world you are gay is negative. More neutral language should be used. See: "Through his attorney, Foley said last week that he was gay, but the admission came after his resignation." CNN.com: We agree. We've changed the wording this way: "Through his attorney, Foley said also last week that he was gay. Foley did not identify himself as gay while he was a member of Congress." Quick thoughts on QuickVoteDo you agree with the Wisconsin lawmaker who thinks schools should arm teachers, principals and janitors? [QuickVote, October 5] While the question may be relevant to the silly politician's impracticable idea to arm teachers, it's impossible to get a very good view of the opinions of the public with this question. There are plenty of people who support allowing faculty and staff to carry personal firearms while at work that will vote "No" because they don't believe that the schools should issue firearms to teachers. There are plenty of people who support allowing faculty and staff to carry personal weapons who will vote "Yes" because they support any measure to give teachers the means to protect students from criminals who won't obey any law written to keep the criminal from using guns/axes/knives to harm the students in their care. These questions are ridiculous. Here's today's question: Do the schools in your area have enough security? [QuickVote, October 3]. Schools should not have to have protection or security at all. The problem is that society in general has become totally warped and sinful. The influences of this day and age, between TV, the Internet and printed images continue to give adults and children ideas and thoughts that are totally perverted. Sex, murder and violence are the biggest money makers and story sellers of this day and age. The bottom line is that the world has become and will continue to become more and more violent and sinful with people turning their backs on God and the Bible, the very Creator and Truth. God will once again punish and defeat sin, destroying the world that we live in once and for all. Do you have something to say about CNN.com? Tell us. CONNECT WITH THE NEWS
