Your e-mails: Making their mark
![]() Billionaire Warren Buffett said he will give most of his wealth to charity. RELATED(CNN) -- Billionaire Warren Buffett turned heads last week when he announced that he would be donating the bulk of his wealth to charity. "I know what I want to do," he told Fortune Magazine, "and it makes sense to get going." Most of the money will go to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, an organization led by Microsoft founder Bill Gates and his wife. Buffett's massive donation will help the foundation work toward its goals in global health and education. For giving it away, "American Morning" chose Buffett as the person who was "Making Their Mark." CNN.com asked readers to send in their ideas about who is having an impact this week. Here is a selection of those e-mails, some of which have been edited: Warren Buffet and Bill Gates each should run for a Senate or a Congressional seat. Each has a proven track record of cleverness, business savvy, and problem-solving skills that have helped them generate bags of their own money. And, unlike many who earn in the top one percent, they are emotionally mature enough to recognize that wealth is a useful tool and not a substitute for love or confidence. Neither one would have reason to be dissuaded from voting for a rational course of action by a lobbyist waving favors under their nose. I am impressed by the accomplishments of these men and by the example they are setting of noblesse oblige, a term that unfortunately dropped from the American lexicon too long ago. Warren Buffett; his action should serve as a reminder that money is only as good as the purposes it is put to...God Bless the man for his efforts. Angelina Jolie is my choice for the person to make her mark. As she spoke on CNN with Anderson Cooper about the refugees, she truly touched my heart and is a very knowledgeable person. I wish I had millions to help her in her fight against all the injustice. She is a remarkable woman. Well done Angelina. Kim Jong II, North Korea's leader, is not only causing worldwide concern with his missile testing, but is also creating extreme hardship on his own people who are already suffering. They are the ones who will pay and are paying for his actions. What do you think? Send us an e-mail.
