Jones latest England tour casualty
![]() Jones will fly home after collapsing in pain with a knee problem LONDON, England (Reuters) -- England pace bowler Simon Jones is out of the first test against India because of a knee injury, the England and Wales Cricket Board said on Monday. "The Glamorgan bowler will fly home to the United Kingdom tomorrow (Tuesday) after a scan conducted on his left knee today revealed minor cartilage damage," the ECB said in a statement. "His availability for the remainder of the tour will be reassessed after he has been seen by a specialist in the UK." Jones joins captain Michael Vaughan and vice-captain Marcus Trescothick as early departures, Vaughan through injury and Trescothick for personal reasons. The test starts in Nagpur on Wednesday.
