Harrison Ford on ...

ATLANTA, Georgia (CNN) -- Harrison Ford's comments on a variety of issues:

  • Acting challenges: "I'm not looking for something in which to frame a performance that I haven't given before. I don't have that kind of ambition. I want to make a movie that the audience can relate [to]. ... I'm not looking for performance moments. They come -- when they're appropriate."
  • Being a member, as he once said, of the "let's pretend" school of acting: "That's a fair enough characterization. I give a lot of attention to what the details of the story are, and what we might accomplish in every scene. It's just a practical way of looking at it. Breaking it down. I think one of the things that's important is that you develop information for the audience in every scene -- a little kernel of ... (pauses) ... a little plot twist or turn or advancement in character, relationship, something."
  • Working with "Firewall" director Richard Loncraine: "I had a good time working with Richard. We drove each other crazy ... just testing. Testing the theory, testing the moment. Applying our wits to the problems. ... [He's a] good man. Kind person."
  • On his career: "I feed opportunistically. I don't have any grand plan. I do, if I've been operating in a particular genre for a period of time, I want to switch genres. I don't want to do the same thing over and over again. But other than that, I'm just looking for something that I think will please an audience ... and myself."
