(CNN) -- Here are overall grades for the 50 states and the District of Columbia from the American College of Emergency Physicians' annual report on the state of emergency medicine in the United States. The grades were produced after analysis in four areas: access to emergency care, quality and patient safety, public health and injury prevention, and medical liability environment.
